We will be using the Cambridge CELTA method, in which Dr. Ahmad has received formal training and certification, for teaching English to our teaching of Arabic. It is a research-based effective method that helps students advance quickly and proficiently. Among its notable features is that students practice speaking 70% of the time under the guidance of the teacher.

Intro to reading and writing is two hours a week for 15 weeks. All levels in General Arabic are 3 hours a week for 27 weeks. Arabic Sciences and Literature courses vary based on the text being taught, its length, and its level of easy/difficulty.

Breakdown of cost

We will have a payment plan where ALL students have the option of paying monthly at the beginning of every 4 weeks, until the course is complete.
Courses are general $15 USD per hour. The monthly payment for General Arabic Levels 1-8 will be 180 US Dollar per month. The monthly payment for Intro to Reading and Writing will be $120 USD.

What books are your courses based on?

Our courses are based on several sources.
For general Arabic, our courses are based on Arabiyyah Bayn Yadayk series.
Starting from the intermediate level, additional Islamic sources will be used for reading comprehension, including (but not limited to) comprehension books from Madinah University and Qasas al-Nabiyyeen (Stories of the Prophets) by Abu Al-Hasan An-Nadawy.
Advanced courses will be based on classical texts. This includes:
Nahw 1: Al-Ajrumiyya
Nahw 2: Mutammimmmat Al-Ajrumiyya
Sarf 1: Bina’ Al-Af’al
Sarf 2: Matn Al-Izziyya
Principles of I’rab 1: Nuktatat Al-I’rab
Principles of I’rab 2: Qawa’id Al-I’rab

How does the placement test work?

If you cannot and write a basic sentence in Arabic, you must take the Intro to Reading and Writing class.
If you can read and write a basic sentence in Arabic, you are automatically eligible for Book 1 (levels 1 and 2).
Getting 85% or above in placement test 1 will place you in the elementary level.
Getting 85% or above in placement test 2 will place you in the intermediate level.
Getting 85% or above in placement test 3 will place you in the advanced level.
Getting 85% or above in placement test 4 will place you in the advanced Arabic classes. In this level. Advanced courses teach higher-level Arabic sciences and literature and will be taught only in Arabic.
